Tata Power strengthens EV connectivity to Coorg with new 60 kW fast charging station on NH-275 –





Tata Power, one of India’s leading electric vehicle charging networks, today announced the commissioning of a 60 kW DC fast charging station at Sri Krishna Cafe in Bannikuppe, strategically located along the Mysore-Madikeri Expressway (NH-275).

The new charging station is strategically located on NH-275, a key corridor connecting Bengaluru and Mysore with Kodagu (Corg), strengthening electric vehicle infrastructure along one of the busiest tourist routes in Karnataka. The charging station provides EV travelers heading to Coorg with a convenient high-speed charging station to enable them to recharge before continuing their journey to the Kodagu hill region.

Strategic Highway Location: Located on NH-275 at Bannikuppe, Hunsur, this charging station is a convenient stop for electric vehicle users between Bengaluru, Mysuru and Coorg. Its location will help improve charging facilities along major tourist and commercial corridors in Karnataka. High-speed charging: The station is equipped with a 60-kilowatt DC dual-gun CCS2 charger, which can charge compatible electric vehicles from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes, reducing charging time for long-distance travel. Convenient Charging Experience: The charging station is located at Sri Krishna Cafe, allowing travelers to take a short break while their vehicle is charging and enjoy food, refreshments and basic travel amenities. Seamless digital access: The charger is integrated with the Tata Power EZ Charge ecosystem, allowing users to locate charging stations, monitor charger availability, initiate charging sessions and make cashless payments through the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app or RFID card. Supporting Sustainable Transport: The addition of this charging station further strengthens the EV charging network along the Bengaluru-Mysuru-Corg corridor, improving charging convenience for EV users traveling to one of Karnataka’s key tourist destinations while supporting wider adoption of electric mobility.
