    Tata Power, one of India’s leading electric vehicle charging networks, today announced the commissioning of a 60 kW DC fast charging station at Sri Krishna Cafe in Bannikuppe, strategically located along the Mysore-Madikeri Expressway (NH-275).

    The new charging station is strategically located on NH-275, a key corridor connecting Bengaluru and Mysore with Kodagu (Corg), strengthening electric vehicle infrastructure along one of the busiest tourist routes in Karnataka. The charging station provides EV travelers heading to Coorg with a convenient high-speed charging station to enable them to recharge before continuing their journey to the Kodagu hill region.

    Main highlights

    Strategic Highway Location: Located on NH-275 at Bannikuppe, Hunsur, this charging station is a convenient stop for electric vehicle users between Bengaluru, Mysuru and Coorg. Its location will help improve charging facilities along major tourist and commercial corridors in Karnataka. High-speed charging: The station is equipped with a 60-kilowatt DC dual-gun CCS2 charger, which can charge compatible electric vehicles from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes, reducing charging time for long-distance travel. Convenient Charging Experience: The charging station is located at Sri Krishna Cafe, allowing travelers to take a short break while their vehicle is charging and enjoy food, refreshments and basic travel amenities. Seamless digital access: The charger is integrated with the Tata Power EZ Charge ecosystem, allowing users to locate charging stations, monitor charger availability, initiate charging sessions and make cashless payments through the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app or RFID card. Supporting Sustainable Transport: The addition of this charging station further strengthens the EV charging network along the Bengaluru-Mysuru-Corg corridor, improving charging convenience for EV users traveling to one of Karnataka’s key tourist destinations while supporting wider adoption of electric mobility.

    The deployment reinforces Tata Power’s commitment to expand high-capacity green corridors along key economic and tourism routes across southern India.

    Tata Power Company Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEM) have inaugurated Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev Megacharger Hub at iLabs Center Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. in Hitech City, Hyderabad, marks another milestone in the expansion of India’s fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

    The new Megacharger hub has a total charging capacity of 360 kW, delivered via three 120 kW fast-charging dispensers, enabling six electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously. Operating round the clock, the facility is designed to cater to private EV owners, commercial fleets, ride-hailing operators, intercity commuters and corporate travelers.

    According to the companies, the charging hub has been set up to meet the growing demand for reliable EV charging infrastructure in Hyderabad, one of India’s rapidly expanding technology and business hubs, while supporting Telangana’s clean mobility and sustainability ambitions.

    The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, Gopalakrishnan VC, Director – Automotive & EV Sector, Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Karnataka as well as senior representatives of Tata Power and Tata Motors.

    The Hyderabad facility is part of the expanded TATA.ev Megacharger network, which now includes over 750 charging points across major cities and highway corridors in India. Many of these chargers are integrated with the Tata Power Easy Charge app, which has crossed more than 500,000 registered users, providing EV owners convenient access to charging services.

    Tata Power also highlighted the scale of its extensive EV charging ecosystem, which now includes over 6,500 public charging points spanning highways, airports, workplaces, commercial establishments, residential communities and transit corridors in over 700 cities and towns. Additionally, the company has installed over 230,000 home EV chargers in collaboration with automotive manufacturers.

    A part of the Tata Group, Tata Power operates a diversified power generation, transmission and distribution portfolio with an installed capacity of 16.3 GW, including 7.5 GW from clean energy sources. The company is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2045 as part of its long-term sustainability roadmap.

    Tata Power has commissioned its first 180 kW ultra-fast EV charging station on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway, an important step towards strengthening long-distance electric mobility and improving convenience for EV users.

    The new charging station has been installed at Vitthal Kamat Restaurant on National Highway 48. Tata Power said it enhances India’s expanding EV infrastructure along one of the country’s busiest highway corridors, helping to reduce charging times and improve reliability for intercity EV travel.

    The charging station is part of Tata Power’s Easy Charge network and supports CCS 2, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of electric vehicles. The 180-kilowatt charger can charge compatible EVs from 20 percent to 80 percent in about 15 to 30 minutes, enabling fast turnaround for both private and commercial users.

    Tata Power highlighted that this location also provides additional convenience for passengers with access to food facilities, clean toilets and comfortable waiting areas while charging the vehicles.

    The company noted that the installation aims to address range anxiety and support seamless long-distance EV travel. The move is also in line with Tata Power’s broader strategy to expand high-speed EV charging infrastructure across national highways and key mobility corridors in India.

    Equipped with eight fast DC chargers with speeds of up to 120 kW, facility provides 16 charging bays, making it one of the largest and most advanced charging stations in the city. 16 To charge EVS simultaneously, this hub eliminates long waiting time, ensuring a spontaneous user experience even during peak hours.
