Kia India has launched its second mass-market electric car, the Syros EV, and has opened bookings for Rs 25,000 through its website and dealerships across the country. Syros EV becomes the first vehicle in its segment to cross the 500-km range mark with an ARAI-certified range of 526 km equipped with a 51.4 kWh battery pack. A 42 kWh option is also available, with a range of 443 kilometers.

The Syros EV is built on Kia’s enhanced K1 platform, providing 171 PS of power and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.1 seconds. DC fast charging can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes using a 100 kW charger, and the car is also equipped with a battery conditioning system that optimizes temperature for faster charging.
To address three of the most common barriers to EV adoption, Kia bundles a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, a guaranteed buyback program that protects resale value, and a battery-as-a-service financing option that reduces upfront costs.
On the charging front, the Kia K-Charge ecosystem on the MyKia app integrates more than 20,300 charging points from 23 charging point operators into one platform and is supported by more than 129 Kia dealers equipped with DC fast chargers and more than 275 EV-ready workshops.
The interior of Syros EV is equipped with the industry’s first 30-inch Trinity panoramic display panel, which integrates a 12.3-inch instrument panel, 12.3-inch touch screen and 5-inch climate control interface. The cabin also offers ventilated front and rear seats, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a 16-liter boot, Harman Kardon audio, Kia Connect 2.0 with over 95 features, and OTA software updates.
Level 2 ADAS covers safety, with 16 autonomous features, 360-degree cameras, blind-sight monitors, six airbags and 25 standard safety features. The Syros EV will be available in seven trims and nine exterior colors.
