Zelio e-Mobility, one of India’s fastest growing electric two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers, has announced plans to significantly expand its workforce during the current financial year as part of its broader growth and scaling strategy.

The company, which has recorded strong year-on-year growth, is strengthening its capabilities in manufacturing, leadership, research and development (R&D), and sales functions to support the next phase of expansion. The appointment initiative is in line with Zelio’s efforts to enhance operational efficiencies and accelerate business growth in key markets.

Currently, Zelio employs around 260 people across its manufacturing facilities in Hisar, Bhubaneswar and Coimbatore. Under its latest recruitment drive, the company aims to more than double its workforce, taking the total headcount to over 500 during the current financial year.

The planned expansion reflects Zelio’s growing production ambitions and increasing focus on innovation, product development and market penetration as demand for electric mobility solutions continues to grow across India.

Under the expansion plan, the company will add 100 employees in Hisar, 50 employees in Bhubaneswar and 100 employees in Coimbatore. Notably, the Coimbatore facility, which is a recent establishment of the company, will account for a significant portion of the upcoming recruitment as it prepares for commissioning and scale-up.

The recruitment drive will focus on strengthening core operational and strategic functions across all locations. Key roles include plant heads, R&D professionals, production planning and quality specialists, as well as regional sales leaders who will support the company’s growing presence in key markets. Additionally, Zelio is expanding its service and after-sales capabilities to keep pace with its growing dealer network and customer base.

Commenting on the growth, Divyanshu Aggarwal, CEO, Zelio e-Mobility, said, “Since our inception, Zelio has always been a people-first company. We work with and on behalf of our people. Wherever we enter, be it state or city, our focus is to create meaningful employment opportunities and contribute to local employment. As we grow, this commitment remains at the core of everything we do. Our expansion is not only focused on manufacturing growth, but “We are also focused on ensuring the creation of strong local ecosystems in each region we operate in. Long-term value creation through employment and skill development.”

The appointment announcement follows a strong FY 2025-26 for Zelio e-Mobility, with revenues growing 81.8 per cent year-on-year from ₹ 172.19 crore to ₹ 313.68 crore in FY2025. The company has remained profitable since inception and has delivered an estimated revenue CAGR of 121 percent over the last four years.

The announcement follows the listing of Zelio e-Mobility on the BSE SME platform in October 2025. The company raised ₹78.34 crore through its initial public offering, which included a fresh issue of ₹58.84 crore and an offer for sale of 11.4 lakh shares worth ₹15.50 crore. The IPO was subscribed 1.5 times overall.

Backed by expanding manufacturing capabilities, a strong workforce and 400+ dealer network across 25+ states, Zelio e-Mobility continues to strengthen its presence in India’s electric mobility sector. Going forward, the company aims to expand to 550+ dealerships by FY27 with a focus on South India and North-East.
