Switch Mobility, a global manufacturer of electric buses and part of the Hinduja Group, has won an order for 650 electric buses from Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. This order will support public transport deployment in Mumbai and Pune under the PM e-Drive Phase II tender of the Government of India.
As part of the order, Switch Mobility will supply 9M electric buses under the CESL PM e-Drive Phase II tender, secured by Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. Ltd. was selected as the selected operator. These AC and non-AC buses will serve Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) and Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) respectively. This collaboration is a major step towards cleaner and more sustainable public transport in Maharashtra’s two largest urban centres.
