New Lexus ES 350h launched in India at ₹66.10 lakh

Lexus India has launched the all-new ES 350h in the country at a starting price of ₹66.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The eighth-generation executive sedan is offered exclusively with hybrid powertrains and is locally manufactured in India, expanding Lexus’ range of locally produced electrified models.

The new ES 350h is available in two variants: Exquisite, priced at ₹66.10 lakh, and Luxury, priced at ₹71.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is part of Lexus’ multi-pathway approach to electrification and combines a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a newly developed hybrid system, electric motor and lithium-ion battery.

The petrol engine produces 139 kW of maximum power and 237 Nm of torque, while the electric motor develops up to 119.1 kW. Lexus claims its fuel efficiency is 25.22 km/litre.

New design and larger dimensions

The new ES adopts Lexus’ “Provocative Simplicity” design philosophy and is larger than the existing model. It measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width and 1,575 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.

The increased dimensions are aimed at creating a more spacious cabin and improving passenger comfort. At the front, the sedan gets new twin L signature lamps, while at the rear there is a redesigned L signature lamp treatment.

The ES 350h also features electronic door-latch release with Safe Exit Assist, which adds an extra layer of safety when passengers exit the vehicle.

Inside, the sedan gets Lexus’ Tazuna Cockpit Concept, a 14-inch high-definition touchscreen with the latest Lexus interface and a fully digital instrument cluster. The cabin also features responsive hidden switches, integrating physical controls into the interior while maintaining a clean and minimalist dashboard design.

New hybrid powertrain

The ES 350h uses a newly developed hybrid system that combines a 2.5-litre petrol engine with a new eAxle and integrated power control unit. The system is powered by a newly developed lithium-ion battery and is designed to balance performance with efficiency.

Lexus claims a fuel economy of 25.22 km/l for the new hybrid sedan, making efficiency one of the key features of the ES 350h.

Advanced security and connected features

The new ES 350h is equipped with the latest Lexus Safety System+, which includes Pre-Collision System, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitor and Automatic High Beams.

The sedan also gets eight airbags, ISOFIX mounts and top tether child-seat anchors as standard. The Luxury Edition additionally includes a drive monitor.

The ES 350h is also equipped with connected-car technology that allows owners to remotely monitor fuel levels and driving range. Through the Lexus Connected application, users can also remotely control functions such as engine start, door locks, windows and climate settings.

Eight years warranty and assured buy back program

Lexus is offering the new ES 350h with an eight-year/2,00,000 km vehicle and hybrid battery warranty as well as five years of roadside assistance.

The company is also offering an Assured Buy Back Programme, which offers a guaranteed future residual value of up to 65 per cent.

With the launch of the new ES 350h, Lexus has added a next-generation, locally manufactured hybrid sedan to its Indian portfolio. The model strengthens the brand’s presence in the premium electrified vehicle segment while continuing its focus on hybrid technology as part of its broader electrification strategy.
