SUN Mobility has appointed Satish Sundaresan as its chief executive officer, the company announced on Thursday. In his new role, Sundaresan will oversee global engineering, hardware manufacturing and sourcing operations, including the production of smart batteries, quick interchange stations and software platforms for domestic and international markets.
Sundaresan has over 25 years of experience in the automotive technology, software and electronics manufacturing sectors. Before joining SUN Mobility, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Lumax Auto Technologies, where he led electronics manufacturing. His previous leadership roles include positions at Electrobit India, Mercedes-Benz and Bosch.
Commenting on his appointment, Sundaresan said his priorities will include improving the speed, reliability and affordability of battery and station production while advancing the company’s technology.
He said SUN Mobility will continue to evolve its battery-swapping platform to be more flexible, cost-effective and future-ready as the company enters its next phase of growth.
