The special thing about this new technology is that this bike will run on E100 fuel, which directly means that the requirement of petrol in it will be very less. The company says that this bike will be unveiled on 3rd June 2026 in New Delhi, where the work will be done in the presence of Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Hardeep Singh Puri.

Splendor or HF Deluxe? Suspense increased before launch

It is being said in the reports that Hero’s first Flex Fuel bike can be either Splendor or HF Deluxe and this is because the Flex Fuel versions of both these models have already received regulatory approval. But it is also important to know that till now the company has not made any official announcement regarding the launch of which model will be released for this new version.

At the same time, auto industry experts say that the possibility of the arrival of HF Deluxe is slightly higher because it was also showcased in Flex Fuel avatar at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. What is E100 and why is it so special?

For your information, let us tell you that some Flex Fuel bikes are already seen in India but they are limited to E85 version. For example, there are Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and Honda CB 300F in the market which run on 85 percent ethanol blended fuel. But now the upcoming new bike of Hero is being presented to the customers one step ahead of them with E100 technology.

If we know about E100, it is not completely pure ethanol. To make it, about 93 to 93.5 percent ethanol, 5 percent petrol and some additives are included in it. But even after this change, it is being said to be more beneficial than the existing Flex Fuel technology.

    Will EV be challenged?

According to the reports so far, Hero is developing this engine at the Hero Center for Innovation and Technology located in Jaipur. Before bringing this version to the customers, work is being done on many problems like fuel delivery, cold starting and engine strength for engines running on ethanol. Along with this, the thing to know is that at present the company wants to compare the Flex Fuel vehicle with the electric vehicles in India. In such a situation, let us tell you that Indian Oil started selling E100 fuel in 2024 and currently it is available at 183 petrol pumps across the country.

Along with this, it is being told that apart from vehicles, it will also be beneficial in reducing the import of domestically produced ethanol crude oil. In such a situation, if this new technology of Hero becomes successful, then the picture of the Indian two-wheeler market will completely change in the coming years.
