    EV powertrain maker Tsuyo has been selected among 15 Indian startups to represent the country in the ‘DeepTech’ category at the CII CIES Startup Delegation 2026 in Japan. This selection marks a significant milestone for the company and reflects the growing recognition of its innovation-driven approach in the electric mobility sector.

    The inclusion in the delegation comes at a time when Japan is accelerating its EV adoption and exploring advanced mobility technologies. Tsuyo’s participation is expected to provide an opportunity to connect with leading Japanese corporations, exchange insights and explore potential collaborations in EV powertrain technologies.

    The development also underlines India’s growing role as a global hub for deeptech innovation and advanced automotive solutions.     As part of its ongoing expansion and scale-up journey, Tsuyo has recently received single window clearance approval from the Government of Karnataka for a proposed 20-acre EV powertrain manufacturing and verification complex in the Dharwad-Hubli region.

    This upcoming facility will serve as a key hub for design, development, testing and large-scale manufacturing of EV powertrain components, reinforcing Tsuyo’s commitment to strengthening India’s domestic EV ecosystem and reducing dependence on imports.

    This expansion is in line with Tsuyo’s broader vision of building globally competitive, locally made EV technologies while contributing to India’s clean mobility transition.

    Bizliride has announced the addition of six new franchise partners in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy to drive electric two-wheeler mobility across India.

    The company is strengthening its franchise network under the Franchise Owner-Franchise Operated (FOFO) model, with plans to expand to more than 25 high-growth cities. Bizliride is targeting to grow its electric vehicle fleet to 10,000 to 15,000 two-wheelers in the next 12-18 months as well as have a network of 30 franchise partners by March 2027.

    Through this expansion, the company aims to achieve approximately 150% growth in fleet operations and overall business scale within the next 12 to 18 months. The initiative focuses on collaborating with local entrepreneurs, enabling them to build and manage EV fleets in their respective markets, strengthening BijliRide’s presence in India’s rapidly growing electric mobility ecosystem.

    As part of its next phase, Bizliride plans to expand operations to urban agglomerations around Hyderabad as well as several high-potential cities including Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Jaipur, Patna, Visakhapatnam, Indore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Nagpur, Ranchi, Surat, Ahmedabad, Goa, Kochi, Warangal, Nizamabad, Mysore, Puducherry, Actively evaluating the markets.

    These locations have been identified based on the growing demand from logistics operators, gig economy platforms and urban commuters seeking cost-effective and sustainable mobility solutions.

    This expansion strategy will allow BijliRide to grow its electric mobility footprint while maintaining local operational efficiency through franchise partners who understand their regional markets and demand dynamics.

    Through the FOFO structure, franchise partners will own and operate their local fleet, while Bizliride provides the centralized technology infrastructure and operational framework needed to run the business efficiently. The company’s platform provides real-time vehicle tracking, fleet performance analytics, rental management systems, battery management protocols and standardized servicing processes, ensuring consistency and operational reliability across all markets.

    A typical entry-level franchise fleet consists of around 50 electric two-wheelers, with an estimated investment of Rs 14-16 lakh, depending on vehicle specifications and market conditions. Under stable usage conditions, the model is designed to reach break-even within approximately 12-15 months, while generating recurring revenues through fleet rental and enterprise mobility partnerships.

    Commenting on the expansion, Shivam Sisodia, CEO and co-founder of Bizliride, said: “Demand for electric mobility is growing rapidly in India, especially among gig workers and last-mile delivery operators. At this stage, our focus is on disciplined scale.     In addition to operational systems, Bizliride supports franchise partners with driver onboarding, demand generation and marketing assistance, helping to maintain strong fleet utilization. The company also connects franchise fleets with gig platforms, logistics operators and on-demand local delivery businesses.

    Over the next 12-18 months, Bizliride aims to expand its fleet to over 10,000 electric two-wheelers across key urban and logistics markets, while continuing to strengthen its technology platform and operational support ecosystem for franchise partners. The company’s long-term vision is to build a scalable electric mobility network that supports both entrepreneurs and riders across India.

    Chennai-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Raptee.HV, which pioneered high-voltage technology (HV-tech) for two-wheelers, has begun mass customer deliveries of its T30 motorcycle. This milestone follows more than seven years of focused research and development, marking the company’s transition from engineering validation to full-scale customer deployment.

    Commenting on the milestone, CEO and Co-Founder, Dinesh Arjun said: “With the start of mass customer deliveries, we are excited to share our product with a larger audience, a product that took 7 years to build.     Chennai becomes Raptee.HV’s first operational market, with its delivery and customer support infrastructure now operational in the city. As part of its phased expansion strategy, the company will enter Bengaluru with a dedicated showroom and authorized service center from April 2026, marking its second key market. By the end of the year, Raptee.HV aims to establish its presence in all major South Indian state capitals and will also begin its reach in Western India.

    EV charging infrastructure startup RoadGrid has raised ₹12 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Inflexion Point Ventures, with participation from a group of strategic and angel investors. These include Venture Catalysts, Kamal Puri of Skyline Group, FAAD Network, LetsVenture, Vrinda Goyal of Pace Group, Haresh Patel of Arthonomics and Manish Srivastava of Alpha Value.

    This funding marks an important milestone in RoadGrid’s ambition to build one of India’s largest and most accessible electric vehicle charging ecosystems.

    RoadGrid operates across two rapidly growing verticals. The first focuses on manufacturing and supplying EV chargers to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to meet the growing demand for off-board and fast DC charging solutions for two-wheelers, three-wheelers and passenger vehicles. The second vertical includes the deployment and operation of public and commercial charging stations – this segment is expected to require around 30 lakh charging points by 2030, while currently around 8,000 are installed across the country.

    The company’s business model combines charging as a service with direct OEM sales. RoadGrid is installing and operating charging stations with strong order book with utilities like BSES and NPCL and Navi Mumbai Transport as well as active deployment at Indore Noida and IOCL. The company has a solid pipeline of over 1,000 chargers. In parallel, RoadGrid supplies chargers directly to EV OEMs. RoadGrid has partnered with VinFast arm WeGreen to develop EV charging network at HPCL retail outlets. As a technology partner, RoadGrid is also supporting the EV network for VinFast aftersales network in India.

    The company operates in two segments. Under Charging as a Service (CaaS), it installs, operates and maintains EV charging stations, with orders currently under execution, including deployment in Indore (76 chargers) and Navi Mumbai (250 chargers). These executions along with active engagement with utilities like BSES and NPCL have resulted in a confirmed order book and pipeline of over 1,000 chargers. In parallel, the company undertakes direct OEM sales of EV chargers in the 2W, 3W and 4W segments, supported by an additional 1,000+ chargers under order. To date, the company has executed over 100 installations in MP, Rajasthan and Karnataka for major customers including IOCL, Amazon, BSES and NPCL, including deployments in cities such as Lucknow, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The EV charging market is currently estimated at ₹5,000 crore and is expected to grow to ₹50,000 crore in the next six years.

    The founding team brings experience in EV infrastructure, engineering and operations. Deepesh Srinath (Founder & CEO) has 10+ years of experience with an engineering and MBA background and prior roles at Emerson and Eaton. Shashank Narayan (CTO) has 10+ years of experience in EV charging and renewable energy with prior roles at Delta Electronics and Harting, and is the author of the EV Charger Handbook published by NITI Aayog. Chandraprakash Akotkar (COO) has 12+ years of experience in electrical design and infrastructure projects, while Bharat Joshi (CMO) has 30+ years of experience in advertising infrastructure and has represented India internationally in sports.

    The EV charging market opportunity spans two segments.
