Tata Nexon EV Max: Nexon EV Max with strong range launched in India, will run 437 km in single charge, know price and features

Tata Nexon EV Max (Tata Nexon EV Max), the long-range version of Tata Motors’ best-selling electric SUV Nexon EV, was finally launched in India on Wednesday. The company has launched Tata Nexon EV Max in the Indian market at an initial ex-showroom price of Rs 17.74 lakh. Which goes up to Rs 19.24 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model. Tata Nexon EV Max has been launched in two variants – XZ+ and XZ+ LUX.

Compared to the standard range Nexon EV that comes in the price range of Rs 14.54 lakh to Rs 17.15 lakh, the new model Tata Nexon EV Max is costlier by around Rs 3.20 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

Along with the color option
Nexon EV Max, Tata Motors has also introduced its high voltage state-of-the-art Ziptron technology. Tata Nexon EV Max comes with three exterior paint options. This includes colors like Intense-Teal (exclusive for Nexon EV Max), Daytona Gray and Pristine White. Dual tone body color is standard across the model lineup. Tata Nexon EV Max comes with a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km with IP67 rated battery and motor pack.

Motor power and speed
The Tata Nexon EV Max packs a 40.5kWh battery under the floorpan, which is 33 percent more than the standard model. The lithium-ion battery powers the electric motor mounted on the front axle. This setup claims to output 143bhp and 250Nm. Thus, it is 14bhp more powerful and produces 5Nm more torque than the standard Rand model of the Nexon EV. Torque will be available at the push of the pedal. The Tata Nexon EV Max electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9 seconds.

battery charging
Tata Electric is offering two charging options with the SUV – the standard 3.3kWh charger and the 7.2kWh AC fast charger. Fast charger can be installed at home or office. The battery pack of the Nexon EV Max can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 56 minutes with any 50 kW DC fast charger. While it can be fully charged in 15-16 hours via 3.3kWh charger and 5-6 hours via 7.2kWh AC fast charger.

driving range
Despite housed a larger battery pack, the Nexon EV Max continues to offer a boot space of 350-litres. The automaker says that the Tata Nexon EV Max gives a range of 437 km on a single full charge (under standard test conditions). It has been claimed to travel from Mumbai to Pune, Bangalore to Mysore, Chennai to Pondicherry, Delhi to Kurukshetra, Ranchi to Dhanbad and Gandhinagar to Vadodara. In real world conditions the car will give a driving range of around 300 km.

Powerful Features
The Nexon EV Max comes with three drive modes – City, Sport and Eco. A new drive mode selector has been given in this model along with an active mode display. Moreover, the new Tata Nexon EV Max comes with selectable regeneration braking system which enhances its efficiency. This car gets advanced ZConnect 2.0 connected car technology which comes with 48 connected car features. Along with this, Tata Nexon EV Max gets features like ventilated seats, all new Makrana beige interior, leather seats with ventilation for front passengers, wireless smartphone charging, auto dimming IRVM, an air purifier, cruise control, a park mode .

Safety Features
The Nexon EV Max comes with 4 levels of multi-mode regen and auto brake lamps to alert other road users. Apart from this, the electric car gets features like i-VBAC (Intelligent-Vacuum-less Boost and Active Control), hill hold control, hill descent control, electronic parking brake with auto hold and ESP with 4-disc brake.
