Kia Seltos and Sonet reports record break sales and becomes most sold electric cars in India

Seltos and Sonet electric cars manufactured by South Korean auto company Kia Motors, which entered the Indian market, is slowly making inroads. Especially people are very fond of Kia’s two vehicles Sonet and Seltos. This is clearly understood even in the figures of April’s sales (Kia India April Sale). During the month of April, only these two models contributed to about 68 per cent of the company’s total sales.

The share increased in a year:  In April 2022, the total sales of Kia India stood at 19,019 units. This is 18 percent more than a year ago i.e. April 2021. In April last year, the company had sold 16,111 units. According to a company statement, its share in the Indian market has increased from just 0.9 per cent to 6.5 per cent in a year. The Seltos was the best selling car of Kia last month.

People who like Seltos, Sonet:  In April 2022, the company sold 7,506 units of Kia Seltos. Similarly, 5,404 units of Kia Sonet were sold last month. Combining these two models alone, Kia sold 12,910 units. In this way, the share of these two models in the total sales of Kia in April was 67.87 percent. In April, another Kia car Carnival sold 355 units. Indian customers are also very fond of Kia Carens, launched in February this year. The company dispatched 5,754 units of this vehicle last month.

The company is increasing production according to the demand:  Hardeep Singh Brar, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia India said, ‘This year we have sold an average of 20 thousand units every month. This year has been good for us so far. Since the start of the Corona epidemic in in the year 2020, the global automotive industry has been facing difficulties and is struggling with supply chain problems. However, there is a great demand for Kia India vehicles. We are increasing production accordingly to keep the waiting period short.

Preparing to Launch Electric Vehicle:  Buoyed by the good success in the passenger vehicle segment in the Indian market in a short span of time, Kia India is now preparing to enter the emerging electric vehicle segment. Brar said in this regard, ‘At Kia India, we believe in continuously evolving. That’s why we are going to bring the most hi-tech Kia car for the Indian customers. With the EV6 (Kia EV6), we are entering the electric car market in India.

Price of Kia EV6 can be so much:  Kia India recently said that it is going to enter the Indian electric vehicle market with the launch of Kia EV6. The company plans to offer premium mobility solutions to Indian customers with this electric vehicle. The company will sell only 100 units of this electric vehicle in India. The company is going to start its booking from May 26. It is estimated to be launched in July or August. Its price can be between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh.
