VinFast announced the completion of the strategic reorganization of three different car brand series and officially launched two new flagship ultra-luxury models – Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S. The two cars join the Lac Hong range, VinFast’s ultra-luxury brand, alongside the well-established VF mass-market passenger car range and green commercial mobility brand.
Under a newly defined brand architecture, Lac Hong represents the pinnacle of ultra-luxury and is designed to demonstrate national pride. The range currently includes the 900 LX, 900S and 800S models. The VF brand covers a comprehensive portfolio of mass-market passenger electric vehicles in various market segments from VF 3 to VF 9, including the seven-seat VF MPV 7. Meanwhile, the Green brand is designed for business and service mobility solutions and includes models such as Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green and Minio Green.
In addition to formalizing its three strategic brand lines, VinFast has expanded its ultra-luxury product portfolio with the launch of Lac Hong 800S and 900S. These models complement the flagship 900 LX due in 2025 and include a world-leading premium armored version.
Inspired by Vietnam’s cultural heritage and embodying the country’s courage, intelligence and stature, these new models are on par with the world’s most prestigious ultra-luxury cars in terms of design and craftsmanship. Lac Hong 800S presents a bold, powerful and refined aesthetic, while Lac Hong 900S embodies timeless, classic values through enduring elegance.
Both models feature a cohesive brand-specific design language rich in emblematic details and premium materials. The grille features straight vertical slats inspired by the resilience of Vietnamese bamboo, while the wing-shaped logo recalls the rising lac bird. Decorative patterns derived from Dongshan bronze drums and rice terraces are carefully integrated into exterior and interior elements, celebrating cultural heritage and national pride. The “Lac Hong” wordmark is rendered in calligraphy style and crafted from real gold-plated alloy, creating a unique and sophisticated brand signature.
The interior of the Lac Hong 800S and 900S features top-quality materials, including Nappa leather, rare woods and exquisite gold-plated accents.
Both vehicles integrate advanced smart technologies and comprehensive safety systems, and are equipped with ultra-luxury facilities such as zero-gravity executive seats, automatic power doors and advanced entertainment systems from world-renowned brands. The Lac Hong 900S further enhances its exclusivity with a privacy partition that separates the cockpit and rear cabin, a starlight headliner, a large-format projection entertainment system and foldable executive workstations for second-row passengers. Collectively, these features transform every vehicle into a sophisticated mobile environment for travel, productivity and immersive leisure.
In terms of performance, both models are equipped with a new fully active suspension system designed to provide excellent ride comfort and dynamic stability. They can be configured with a three-motor powertrain, consisting of one front motor and two rear motors, producing a combined output of up to 460 kW. Lac Hong 800S and 900S are scheduled to be put into commercial use in 2027.
