Texas Instruments (TI) showcases energy-efficient smart semiconductor solutions at Electronics India 2025 –

Published:

Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) will showcase its leading semiconductor innovations for energy infrastructure, automotive and connected appliances at the Electronics Show in Bangalore, India, September 17-19. TI showcased its latest developments in applications such as HVAC fans, vacuum cleaners and electric two-wheelers at booth D11 in Hall 3, Bangalore International Exhibition Centre.

“At Electronica India 2025, TI is demonstrating how our latest semiconductor innovations enable energy-efficient, smart and secure solutions that are critical to building a more sustainable future,” said Santhosh Kumar, president and managing director, TI India. “TI’s comprehensive analog and embedded semiconductor portfolio, combined with our industry-leading technology and system-level expertise, enables customers to design smart systems that accelerate large-scale energy savings across industries.”

New ultra-low-cost real-time MCU

At the show, TI debuted the most affordable of its C2000™ real-time microcontrollers (MCUs), enabling engineers to design products with industry-leading performance at lower costs. The F28E120SC and F28E120SB MCUs provide smoother, quieter and more efficient motor performance for a variety of home appliances and power tools.

There are two live demonstrations of the new F28E120SC MCU, including:

Appliance Fan Noise Reduction: Learn how the F28E120SC MCU controls a high-voltage three-phase motor and runs a total harmonic distortion reduction algorithm, allowing engineers to reduce fan noise and improve efficiency in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. High-speed sensorless motor control in vacuum cleaners: Discover how the F28E120SC MCU uses sensorless FOC software to control low-voltage vacuum cleaner motors to achieve high efficiency, smooth and stable startup, and reduced peak current. Booth visitors will be able to quickly and easily spin the motor to 150,000 rpm.

Reimagining safe and efficient electric two- and three-wheelers

TI also demonstrated how its comprehensive product portfolio and reference designs enable innovation across the entire electric vehicle ecosystem. These include LED drivers for lighting systems, processors for display and entertainment, battery management technology, motor control solutions, and more.

Notable demos include:

750W Lightweight EV Charger: Check out the 750W Lightweight EV Charger powered by the UCC25661-Q1 LLC controller, ideal for e-bikes, scooters, and other lightweight electric vehicles. The charger uses TI’s patented Input Power Proportional Control (IPPC) technology to provide consistent, stable charging even when the battery is nearly depleted. Efficient EV Charging with F29x C2000 MCUs: Discover how a single F29x C2000 MCU can power a highly compact 11kW EV charging system. The design combines high-voltage and low-voltage power conversion in a single stage, achieving excellent efficiency (97.6%) while occupying minimal space. The system delivers 5.5 kilowatts of power per liter of volume, making electric vehicles more practical by enabling faster charging in smaller, more affordable chargers. High Voltage Battery Management System: Learn about smarter battery management with TI’s high voltage battery management system (BMS) technology, which enhances the safety and reliability of large battery packs. This complete solution includes hardware components and software tools to help manufacturers build better battery systems faster. CC35xxE Wake Word Detection: Explore Edge AI audio capabilities with 3rd Party Sensory’s TrueHandsfree™ library on TI’s CC3551 Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth® LE 5.4 wireless MCUs. This can be activated using a voice command wake word, which helps control edge IoT devices. High power density adapter with integrated GaN: Check out a small but powerful 65W charger with two USB ports using TI’s integrated GaN technology. These chargers deliver more power (2.3W per cubic inch) in less space, delivering the same performance while being significantly smaller than traditional chargers. This means more convenient, portable charging solutions for laptops, phones and other devices.
