Zelio e-Mobility has started commercial production at its new manufacturing facility in Patan, Hisar, Haryana, adding 72,000 units to its annual production capacity.
The new facility will contribute 48,000 units per annum for electric two-wheelers and 24,000 units for electric three-wheelers, taking the company’s total installed capacity from 2.4 lakh to about 3.12 lakh units annually.
Spread over 6 acres with a built-up area of 2,61,360 sq ft, the plant is expected to strengthen Zelio e-Mobility’s manufacturing capabilities and support its expansion into existing and new markets.
The facility has started production of both electric two-wheelers (scooters) under the Zelio brand and the company’s Tanga electric three-wheeler. The additional capacity is expected to be commissioned during the third quarter of FY 2026-27, with production to be scaled up as per dealer demand, product mix and supply-chain preparedness.
For this facility, Zelio has invested over ₹20 crore under its approved capital expenditure plan. A portion of the investment is funded through the proceeds of the company’s IPO, with any additional requirement to be met through internal accruals, as per the objects of the issue.
With the Patan facility, Zelio now operates four manufacturing plants in Haryana, Odisha and Tamil Nadu.
The new manufacturing facility is expected to strengthen supply to Zelio’s expanding dealer network, improve product availability and reduce replenishment lead times. This will also help streamline logistics as the company expands its presence in tier-2 and tier-3 markets.
The plant has in-house fabrication, painting and assembly lines, supporting Zelio’s backward-integration strategy. These capabilities are expected to give the company greater control over critical manufacturing processes and components while improving supply-chain reliability, cost efficiency and operating leverage.

Commenting on the expansion, Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO of Zelio e-Mobility, said, “In the electric vehicle business, manufacturing decisions take into account more than the number of vehicles a company produces. The ability to control critical processes, maintain consistency in production lines and deliver vehicles to dealers when needed has a direct impact on how efficiently a business can grow. Our investment in Hisar aims to build on these capabilities simultaneously. We also see an opportunity to deepen our engagement with the industrial ecosystem in the region.”
Mr. Kunal Arya, Managing Director, Zelio e-Mobility, said, “Demand from our dealers and customers is continuously increasing, and this new plant in Hisar provides us with a strong base to deepen our presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. We will continue this expansion while focusing on profitability and disciplined growth.”
Apart from increasing production capacity, the Patan facility is expected to generate employment in fabrication, painting, assembly, quality control, maintenance, warehousing and other manufacturing operations along with indirect opportunities for local suppliers, logistics providers and allied services. Hiring will increase as production scales and new product lines are introduced. Zelio is also adopting resource-efficient practices and evaluating applicable Central and Haryana state incentives, subject to eligibility and regulatory approval.
The expansion comes amid a strong financial growth trajectory. Zelio’s revenue grew 81.8% to ₹313.68 crore in FY 2025-26, while its revenue CAGR stood at 121% over the last four years. The company has been profitable since its inception. It was listed on BSE SME in October 2025 at an issue price of ₹136 per share, and raised ₹78.34 crore through its public offering.
Zelio currently has over 400 dealers in over 25 states and aims to have a network of over 550 dealerships by FY2027. The company aims to pursue this expansion while focusing on profitability, working-capital discipline and long-term stakeholder value.
