Yamaha launches Arox E electric scooter in India.

India Yamaha Motor has expanded its electric mobility portfolio with the launch of Aerox E, a new high-performance electric scooter developed in India. Priced at ₹2.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Aerox E will be available through Yamaha’s Blue Square dealerships in select cities.

The Aerox E is powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that delivers 9.4 kW of peak power and 48 Nm of torque, leading to a claimed top speed of 95.5 km/h. The scooter is equipped with a dual removable 1.5 kWh (30Ah) battery pack, which offers a certified riding range of 117 km on a full charge. It takes approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes to recharge each battery.

Designed for a versatile riding experience, the Arocs E offers Eco, Standard and Power riding modes as well as a reverse mode for easy maneuvering and a boost function for quick acceleration when needed. Yamaha is offering a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 km on the battery pack.

The scooter is equipped with extensive safety features, including disc brakes at both ends, single-channel ABS and a traction control system. Retaining the sporty maxi-scooter styling of the Aerox family, the electric model combines familiar design elements with modern EV technology.

The Aerox E features a 5-inch TFT color display with turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-Connect mobile application. The app enables riders to access maintenance reminders, view the scooter’s last parked location, and monitor vehicle diagnostics. Additional convenience features include a smart key system and an external charging port, enhancing everyday usability.
