VinFast Auto has officially started deliveries of its electric VF5 model at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week, held from November 22 to December 1, 2024. This is the second electric vehicle model introduced by Vinfast in Indonesia, strengthening its commitment to manufacturing electric vehicles. Making the green transportation revolution more accessible and supportive in Indonesia and the entire region.
In just nine months after entering the Indonesian market, Vinfast has successfully delivered two electric car models in key segments: the VF5 (A-segment) and the VF E34 (C-segment).
The VF 5 has rapidly become one of VinFast’s best-selling models in 2024, playing a major role in securing the company’s leading market share in Vietnam. Building on this success, VinFast aims to establish the VF5 as a major player in the Indonesian market, focusing on three main pillars: premium quality vehicles, inclusive pricing and exceptional after-sales support.
The A-segment model combines a robust, compact design with better safety features than gasoline cars in the same segment, making it an ideal choice for urban drivers. It targets Indonesian consumers interested in the green transportation movement, especially in the Jakarta metropolitan area.
The VF 5 is currently available in Jakarta, Indonesia at a promotional on-the-road price of 286,450,000 IDR (with battery purchase) and 218,250,000 IDR (with battery subscription). VinFast offers flexible purchasing options: customers can purchase the VF 5 with battery or opt for a battery subscription plan starting at only 990,000 IDR per month. Additionally, customers choosing the installment plan will get 0% interest, no administrative charges and no service charges for the first year.
To ease potential concerns about the shift to electric vehicles in Indonesia, VinFast has introduced an attractive resale price guarantee. Vehicles that have been used for 6 months will retain 90% of their original value, 86% after one year, 78% after two years and 70% after three years.
Additionally, in Indonesia, the VF5 comes with market-leading warranties: seven years for the vehicle with no range limits or 160,000 kilometers (whichever comes first) and eight years for the battery.
Nguyen Thuy Linh, CEO of VinFast Indonesia, shared: “By delivering the first VF5 cars at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week, we are proud to provide Indonesian consumers with a more exciting, reliable and smart EV option. By introducing its dynamic urban vehicles, Vinfast is committed to accompanying Indonesian customers in the green transportation revolution and contributing to building a better and more sustainable future for all.
VinFast’s booth at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week will be open to visitors from November 22 to December 1, 2024. The VF5 delivery ceremony is scheduled for November 22. Starting on November 24, attendees can also test drive the VF5 and VF E34 for a hands-on experience. These smart and modern electric vehicles are designed for urban lifestyle.
