Suncar Technology Group Inc., a leading provider of AI-powered B2B auto insurance and automotive services in China, has won the auto insurance management contract for Istland, a premium electric vehicle brand jointly developed with Huawei.
The win marks an important milestone for Suncar, which already cooperates with five other Huawei-affiliated automotive brands. With the addition of Eastland, Suncar strengthens its position as the exclusive insurance partner for Huawei’s portfolio of luxury EV brands.
This partnership underlines the growing recognition of Suncar’s AI-powered insurance solutions and automotive service capabilities, designed to meet the growing needs of luxury EV customers. It also reflects the company’s continued commitment to expand and deepen its strategic cooperation within the Huawei Qiankun ecosystem.
Suncar will create customized insurance solutions for Eastland that will integrate insurance services into Huawei’s Qiankun intelligent vehicle system. Using Suncar’s extensive vehicle database and Doubao’s large language models, the company will build dedicated AI models that calculate vehicle and driver risk, accurately match insurance policies, predict maintenance needs and reduce claims costs.
The company will leverage its network of 48,000 automotive service providers to provide one-stop insurance + automotive service support to Islander owners. These services include underwriting process management, claims processing, roadside assistance and routine and emergency maintenance.
