RAPTEEE.HV becomes India’s first EV motorcycle OEM supported by the Technology Development Board of the Government

Published:

Chennai -based electric motorcycle startup rapte. HV, known for the use of high-voltage (HV) technology from electric cars in two-wheelers, has obtained strategic funding from the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. This achievement makes Raptee.Hv the first electric motorcycle OEM in India, which, to get financial support from TDB, highlights its research-operated approach and innovative progress in mobility technology.

Fresh funding will enable Raptee.hv to pursue its own-owned high-voltage technology and accelerate its efforts to redeem the USD 1 billion performance electric motorcycle category.

“This support of the Technology Development Board is a strong support for the mission of Raptee.HV to redefine the performance electric mobility from India, to the world, from India. In the absence of an ecosystem for high-voltage motorcycle architecture, we created our own through unnatural engineering.

In 2021, Raptee.Hv was also the only OEM that was awarded the non-existence grant of 3.25 crore from ARAI-AMTIF, making its deep technical focus more valid. With the latest support from TDB, Raptee.HV is involved in the rank of some of the most respected groundbreaking innovations in India, such as the Cota Indica and India Biotech’s Covid -19 vaccine, which historically has been supported by TDB. For the board, it marks its first investment in the EV motorcycle segment, indicating a adventure commitment to pursue the next generation mobility technologies.

Unlike many EV players, which manufacture on existing platforms, RipTe.HV has spent more than six years to develop its technology ground-up, with India’s only electric motorcycles operated by high-voltage car technology. What was considered almost impossible six years ago has now become a reality, in which rapta.

Since motorcycles are in the market of about two-thirds of India, their electrification is important to achieve the target of 30% EV penetration in two wheelers in two wheelers. And Raptee.hv It is believed that True motorcycle electrification requires leapphog progression like disruptive changes seen in the global car industry, not incremental upgrades for existing technologies, as both are naturally performing.
