Oben Electric’s newly launched electric motorcycle, Roar Evo, has received over 25,000 bookings within just 15 days of its launch, reflecting the growing interest of consumers in India’s electric motorcycle market.
The Bengaluru-based EV maker said it is well positioned to support delivery and after-sales operations through its expanded network of over 150 showrooms and service centers spread across over 100 cities in 18+ states. The company also plans to further strengthen its footprint by adding 200 new exclusive showrooms by the end of FY2027.
“As India is actively accelerating its shift towards electric mobility, the response to the Roar Evo shows that this shift is now meaningfully extending to the electric motorcycle category as well,” said Madhumita Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Oben Electric.
The Oben Roar Evo is currently available at a starting price of ₹99,999 for the first 10,000 customers, after which the price will increase to ₹1,24,999. Oben Electric has already opened the payment portal on its official website, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in June 2026.
The company noted that its vertically integrated manufacturing facility, where critical EV components such as LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units, chargers and proprietary software are developed in-house, will support its future scale-up plans. Oben Electric currently has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh motorcycles.
Powering the Rorr Evo is a 9 kW IPMSM motor paired with a 3.4 kWh LFP battery pack. The electric motorcycle offers an IDC-certified range of 180 km, a top speed of 110 km/h, and can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds.
The company said that the motorcycle supports fast charging, allowing 0-80% charging in 90 minutes and it comes with an 8-year battery warranty.
In terms of technology and connectivity, the Roar Evo features a five-inch color TFT display with fall detection with OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation, geofencing, remote immobilization and emergency SOS functionality through Oban’s connected technology platform.
