Nuego launched electric sleeper buses for intercity travels. Vampire

Nuego of Greencell Mobility has introduced India’s first electric AC sleeper bus service for intercity routes, setting operations to cover major corridors such as Delhi-Amritsar, Bangalore-Chennai and Hyderabad-Rajhamundry. Buses are powered by a 450 kwh high-voltage battery system, providing a range of 350 km per charge, which can be increased to 600 km per day through fast charging.

Devendra Chawla, MD and CEO of Greensle Mobility, emphasized that the launch is an important step towards a permanent journey, prioritizing security, passenger comfort and environmental responsibility.

Buses are manufactured using India’s first monococcu chassis and is equipped with ergonomic berths, USB charging ports, night reading lamps and modern hygiene features. Safety features include ABS brakes with Esc, full air suspension with ECA and a rollover-engineer structure.

Nuego has implemented safety measures, including CCTV monitoring, GPS tracking, driver breath analyzer tests and limiting speed at a speed of 80 kmph. The company operates a 24 -hour helpline for women passengers and provides a pink seat booking facility.

This service will work on additional routes including Chennai-Madurai, Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam and Bangalore-Madurai. Buses use regenerative braking techniques and produce zero telpipe emissions.

Through its Nuego brand, Greencell mobility has deployed itself in India’s Electric Intercity Transport Area. The company aims to expand its presence in the sleeper bus market segment, promoting permanent travel options.

The introduction of electric sleeper buses connects India’s growing electric vehicle infrastructure, especially in the commercial transport sector. This development aligns with a national initiative to reduce emissions in public transport.
