Battery as a Service India: Amidst the increasing demand for electric vehicles in India, Citroen has launched its new updated e-C3X. The biggest feature of this electric crossover is not its price but its new purchase model. Let us tell you that the company has introduced it with Battery-as-a-Service program. Due to which the initial price for the customers will be much lower. Information has come to light that the starting price of the new Citroen e-C3X has been kept at only ₹ 6.89 lakh while its regular ex-showroom price is ₹ 10.25 lakh. But customers taking advantage of the lower price will have to pay separately for battery usage at ₹2.26 per kilometre.

What is Battery-as-a-Service Model?

The biggest concern for electric vehicle buyers is often the cost of the battery. To solve this problem, Citroen has introduced the BaaS model. Under this, customers can buy the car separately from the battery and pay kilometer based EMI for the use of the battery. The company believes that this will reduce the initial cost of purchasing an EV and customers will also have a better idea of the running costs.

Equipped with stylish look and premium features

The new e-C3X has LED headlamps, split LED DRLs, fog lamps, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and 170mm ground clearance. Apart from this, the SUV has also got new X-badging and front-rear skid plates which make it more attractive. The interior has an Electric Blu themed dashboard, new upholstery and comfortable seats. The 2,450mm wheelbase and 315 liters of boot space make it suitable for family use as well.
