Motovolt Mobility has strengthened its partnership with electric vehicle fleet rental company GBG EV by deploying over 200 units of its MVS7 electric two-wheelers in Delhi NCR for last-mile delivery operations. The vehicles are integrated with battery-swapping technology provided by Indofast, enabling faster and more efficient fleet operations.
This deployment is designed to support gig economy workers engaged in instant-commerce and hyperlocal delivery services. By leveraging Indofast’s battery-swapping network, delivery riders can replace a dead battery in less than a minute, significantly reducing downtime and improving vehicle utilization. The initiative comes amid growing demand for electric mobility solutions in the last-mile logistics sector, driven by the rapid expansion of e-commerce and instant-commerce platforms.
Commenting on the development, Tushar Chaudhary, Founder and CEO, Motovolt Mobility, said, “The gig economy is the backbone of India’s instant-commerce revolution, and our MVS7 is purpose-built to empower delivery partners with a reliable and efficient mobility solution.” Both Motovolt and GBG EV indicated that the partnership could be further expanded as they expand their presence in the fast-growing last-mile delivery and hyperlocal logistics segment.
