Montra Electric launches first e-SCV dealership in West Bengal.

Montra Electric has expanded its electric commercial vehicle network with the opening of its first electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) dealership in West Bengal. Located in Howrah, Kolkata, the new dealership has been set up in partnership with Next Drive Mobility and will provide sales, service and spare parts support for the company’s EVIATOR electric small commercial vehicle range.

This expansion marks Montra Electric’s entry into the West Bengal market as the demand for electric last-mile logistics vehicles continues to grow. This is also an important milestone for the company, whose EVIATOR fleet has crossed 1,000 vehicles on Indian roads, providing valuable operational insights to support future expansion.

Commenting on the development, Saju Nair, CEO – e-SCV, Montra Electric, said, “We are entering this market from a position of strength as our Aviator fleet has crossed 1,000 vehicles nationally. West Bengal’s commercial fleet is heavily dependent on diesel compared to many other states, and electrification of commercial vehicles is still in a relatively early stage. This presents a significant opportunity to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in the region.”

Montra Electric’s EVIATOR portfolio comprises E350 (32 kWh), E350L (40 kWh) and E350L+ (50 kWh) variants. The electric cargo vehicles offer a 1.7-tonne payload capacity, 10.3-foot cargo deck, real-world driving range of over 200km and CCS2 DC fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 0 to 80% in approximately 60 minutes.

With its latest dealership, Montra Electric aims to strengthen its presence in Eastern India while supporting the shift towards cleaner and more efficient commercial transportation solutions.
