Kia India, one of the country’s leading mass-premium automakers, has launched its second India-made mass-market electric vehicle, the Cyros EV, with starting prices starting at ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42 kWh variant and ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant.

With the launch of the Cyros EV, Kia aims to make electric mobility more accessible by combining competitive pricing with one of the industry’s most comprehensive ownership packages. The company is offering an industry-leading Assured Buyback Program, Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option and Lifetime High-Voltage Battery Warranty, providing customers with greater affordability, peace of mind and long-term ownership confidence.

The Cyros EV is scheduled to go on sale at Kia dealerships across the country from July 30, 2026, further strengthening the brand’s presence in India’s fast-growing electric vehicle market.

Cyros EV reflects Kia India’s belief that accelerating EV adoption requires more than a strong product, real confidence and value in the entire ownership journey. Made in India, the Cyros EV brings together progressive design, segment-leading performance with the support of one of the widest EV ownership ecosystems in its class.

Commenting on the launch, Kia India Managing Director and CEO Gwanggu Lee said that the Cyros EV has been developed with a customer-first approach, aimed at making electric mobility more accessible without compromising on performance, technology or ownership experience.

He highlighted that, in addition to its competitive pricing, Cyros offers one of the EV industry’s strongest ownership packages, including an assured buyback program with up to 80% resale value, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option that lowers the initial cost of EV ownership, and a Lifetime High-Voltage Battery Warranty to address long-term concerns about battery reliability.

Lee said the Cyros EV combines a claimed driving range of up to 526 km, 171 PS of power, advanced technology features and Kia’s expanding EV ecosystem to deliver an engaging ownership experience. He said the model reflects Kia India’s commitment to accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility in the country by keeping customer needs at the forefront of product development.

Industry-leading ownership benefits

Kia has introduced a comprehensive ownership package for the Cyros EV to make electric mobility more affordable and hassle-free. The SUV is available with the company’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, which allows customers to finance the vehicle and the battery separately. This enables ownership starting from ₹7.99 lakh with a transparent battery subscription cost of ₹3.3 per kilometre. The Cyros EV comes with a 15-year, unlimited kilometer lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, providing long-term peace of mind. To further boost customer confidence, Kia is offering an industry-best Assured Buyback Program that guarantees up to 80% of resale value after three years, as well as the My Convenience e-Plus package that adds maintenance, extended warranty and roadside assistance.

Performance and electric powertrain

The Cyros EV is available with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs, offering an ARAI-certified driving range of 443 km and a segment-leading 526 km, respectively. It is the first vehicle in its segment with a claimed range of over 500 km. The SUV supports 100kW DC fast charging, allowing 10-80% charge in just 39 minutes, while the battery conditioning technology ensures faster charging in different weather conditions. Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV produces 171 PS of power and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds with the larger battery pack. It also includes an IP67-rated NMC battery, liquid-cooled thermal management and EV-specific technologies such as i-Pedal, vehicle-to-load (V2L), virtual engine sound system (VESS), battery heating system and regenerative braking with shift-by-wire.

Nationwide charging network for everyday confidence

At the heart of the Cyros EV ownership experience is K-Charge, Kia India’s EV charging ecosystem accessible through the MyKia app and the Kia India website. Bringing together over 20,300 charging points from the country’s top 23 charge point operators on one platform, K-Charge lets drivers find, navigate and pay for charging through an integrated wallet – taking the uncertainty out of everyday charging, as well as range anxiety. Supporting this at the grassroots level is a growing network of 275+ EV-ready workshops as well as 129+ Kia dealerships equipped with high-capacity DC fast chargers, so that customers get reliable charging and service support wherever they travel. It is part of Kia’s ever-expanding service network of 900+ customer touchpoints across 400 cities.

a progressive design

Inspired by Kia’s global EV design philosophy, the Cyros EV features a bold, honest SUV identity with distinctive EV-specific styling: Ice Cube MFR LED headlamps, standard front LED fog lamps, Star Map LED Daytime Running Lamps with integrated turn indicators with Kia’s signature digital tiger face. Rear star map LED tail lamps, first-in-segment auto streamline door handles and R17 – 43.66 cm (17-inch) crystal cut dual-tone aero alloy wheels (with 16-inch wheel option), further enhance the modern look of the Cyros EV. Black high glossy front and rear skid plates with aero inserts, black high glossy garnish type roof rails and attractive side garnish options complete its progressive SUV character.

Comfort is just as profound: a spacious, versatile cabin layout offers generous rear legroom, with 60:40 split rear seats that slide and recline to suit every journey.
