Kia India, one of the country’s leading mass-premium automobile manufacturers, has unveiled its second mass-market electric SUV, the Cyros EV, while pre-bookings have started at ₹25,000 through the company’s official website and authorized dealerships across India.
The new Ciros EV enters the market with an ARAI-certified driving range of 526 km, making it one of the segment leaders. Along with its long-range capability, Kia is offering a comprehensive ownership package designed to address key concerns related to electric vehicle adoption, including Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, an assured buyback program and flexible Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing options.
According to Kia India, the electric vehicle market has evolved beyond range-centric purchase decisions. Today’s customers are increasingly looking for vehicles that incorporate advanced technology, a connected experience, reliable charging infrastructure and strong long-term ownership values.
The Cyros EV has been developed to meet these rising expectations by combining the practicality and bold styling of an SUV with electric vehicle-specific technologies, premium features and a strong emphasis on safety. The company says the model has been engineered to provide a seamless ownership experience while delivering the confidence, convenience and versatility demanded by modern EV buyers.
With the launch of Cyros EV, Kia India further strengthens its electric mobility portfolio and reinforces its commitment to expand accessible, technology-driven and customer-centric electric vehicle offerings in the Indian market.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Gwangju Lee, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India, said, “Our philosophy of ‘Movements that Inspire’ is about making future mobility meaningful, accessible and enriching for our customers. With the Ciros EV, our second mass-market electric vehicle for India, we are democratizing advanced electric mobility – not only through cutting-edge technology, but by removing the concerns that hold customers back. The Ciros EV is the first in its segment. Offering an ARAI-certified range of 526 km – the first in its segment to cross the 500 km mark, with a best-in-segment power output of 171 PS, it gives customers the confidence to move forward without compromising on performance. With a simplified and seamless ownership experience including Lifetime Battery Warranty, Assured Buyback and BaaS, we are addressing what matters most to Indian families, taking them one step closer to going electric. It is a decisive step.
Ownership Confidence and Peace of Mind
Every Cyros EV is backed by a Lifetime* High Voltage Battery Warranty, reaffirming Kia’s confidence in the long-term durability and reliability of its battery technology while providing customers peace of mind throughout their ownership journey. Complementing this is an attractive Assured Buyback program that protects residual value and provides confidence at the time of resale, as well as Kia’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program that reduces upfront acquisition costs through flexible financing options. Together, these customer-centric initiatives address three key barriers to EV adoption – concerns about battery longevity, resale value and initial purchase cost, making electric mobility more accessible, predictable and worry-free.
Engineered for a seamless electric experience
Supporting its superior range claim, the Cyros EV is offered with two battery options – 51.4 kWh with an ARAI-certified segment best range of 526 km (MIDC Full), making it the first vehicle in its segment to cross the 500 km range mark, and 42 kWh with a range of 443 km (MIDC Full). Complementing this is segment-best DC fast charging that takes the battery from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes with a 100kW charger and a battery conditioning feature that optimizes battery temperature for faster DC charging – simplifying everyday charging. The Cyros EV also features 10.8kW of onboard AC charging capability, supported by the K-Charge ecosystem’s integrated route planner and flexible charging controls.
Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV delivers a best-in-segment power output of 171 PS from its advanced Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery, accelerating from 0-100 kmph in just 8.1 seconds with the 51.4 kWh pack.
