Keto Motors An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been formalized with the Government of Telangana at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 held at India Future City. Under this agreement, the company will set up a state-of-the-art electric bus manufacturing facility at Jadcherla with an investment commitment of Rs 300 crore.
The new plant will focus on the production of 9-metre electric buses and is estimated to create over 2,000 direct jobs within the next three years, boosting the state’s EV ecosystem and contributing to India’s clean mobility transition.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce and Legislative Affairs of Telangana. The Government of Telangana will extend full support to the project through the TG-iPASS single-window clearance system, ensuring prompt access to all statutory and regulatory approvals.
With this strategic collaboration, Telangana strengthens its position as one of India’s fastest growing hubs for electric vehicle manufacturing and sustainable mobility innovation.
Welcoming the investment and highlighting the state’s clean mobility vision, Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industry & Commerce and Legislative Affairs, Telangana, said, “Telangana is leading India’s transition to clean mobility by building a strong and future-ready electric vehicle ecosystem. Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 is a premier global leadership and innovation platform showcasing Telangana’s vision, industrial strengths, innovation ecosystem and long-term development roadmap. The summit also included the release of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document. The event was organized under the leadership of Honorable Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy, who has focused on strengthening the state’s progress in industrial development, innovation-driven growth and sustainable mobility.
The MOU marks the beginning of a strategic partnership between Kato Motors and the Government of Telangana, aimed at advancing the state’s vision for sustainable transportation and promoting innovation in electric mobility. Through this collaboration, both parties will work together to ensure the successful setup of the Jadcherla facility and boost India’s domestic EV manufacturing capabilities.
