JBM Echolfe Mobility Private Limited, a subsidiary of JBM Auto Auto Limited, has received an order for 1,021 electric buses under the government of India’s PM E -Bass SEVA Scheme -2. At a price of about 5,500 crores, the order will see the deployment of these buses in 19 cities in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana, bringing the company’s total order books to more than 11,000 electric buses.
The JBM ecolife dynamics will oversee the end-to-end execution of the project, including payment safety mechanisms (PSMs) to ensure timely payment to operators and increase financial stability. More than his 12-year deployment, these e-bosses are expected to cover 32 billion passenger e-billometer and cut CO2 emissions by more than 1 billion tonnes.
The PM e -bus Seva Scheme -2 aims to expand the deployment of electric bus in many states, reduce urban pollution and modernize public transit. This includes a payment safety mechanism to ensure financial viability for operators and provisions for comprehensive maintenance services. Focusing on Tier -2 and Tier -3 cities, this phase expands clean transport beyond metropolitan areas, which increases connectivity and aligns with India’s climatic goals by cutting carbon emissions.
