Mr. Piyush Goyal, Honorable Union Commerce and Industry Minister, inaugurated the Electric Vehicle (EV) area in the exhibition organized in conjunction with the 89th general meeting of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC GM). The event organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is taking place from 15 to 19 September 2025 in Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
EV Zone – EV Zone – is a major attraction of exhibition – under the EV zone – “promoting a permanent world” – Curate by SIAM’s Society. It reflects state -of -the -art progress by the Indian automobile industry in electrical mobility and permanent motor vehicle technologies. The EV zone will be open during the period of IEC GM 2025 event.
During his visit, Mr. Piyush Goyal discovered 31 production-taiyar electric vehicles displayed in the SIAM EV region. The pavilion in the pavilion 14 major OEM-Tata Motors, Mahindra and Mahindra, JSW MG Motor, Mercedes-Benz, Kia India, ECA Mobility, Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter, Suzuki Motorcycle India, Piazydeo, Piazio, Piazio, Piazio, Piazio, Piazio, Piazio, Piageyo, Piazued, Pijio, Hare Transport.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Union Union Commerce Minister Commerce and Industry said that stability was being focused as a column of development in India, as nature was honored internally by every Indian. He also emphasized that a developing country like India required good standards. It was reported that the products designed in India would soon be recognized globally as a symbol of reliability, stability and excellence. He further stated that these standards were considered as an important role in protecting consumers, increasing satisfaction and increasing competition in the global market.
Banerjee of SIAM’s Executive Director Shri Prashant said: “We are encouraged from the point of view of the government that ‘designs in India’ products in India will be recognized globally for their credibility, stability and excellence. We focus on how to secure automotive standards, and it helps in working in the global market.
IEC GM 2025, hosted by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), brings together more than 2,000 global experts from more than 100 countries to discuss international electotechnical standards. The program shows progress in IEC GM exhibition, electric mobility, smart lighting, electronics and IT manufacturing.
SIAM’s participation in IEC GM 2025 strengthens its commitment to permanent dynamics by 2070 and pure zero goals of India. Visitors are encouraged to detect the EV region to see the efforts of the industry in dekbonisation and take a vow of digital stability, with BIS planting a plant for every vows for every vow to environmental continuity.
