Honda Bikes India: To further strengthen its hold in the Indian two-wheeler market, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has played a big bet. Let us tell you that the company has simultaneously introduced an expanded portfolio of 10 new and updated two-wheelers. In which 7 brand new models and 3 updated models have been included which have been launched with new color options. The special thing is that this lineup includes many segments like cruiser, adventure bike, roadster, electric scooter and flex-fuel. On this, the company says that these models will be manufactured in India only, which will also strengthen the Make in India campaign.
Portfolio prepared keeping in mind the changing preferences of customers
Giving information, HMSI has said that Indian customers now not only want low price and better mileage but also want modern and premium two-wheelers as per their lifestyle. Keeping this demand in mind, the company has prepared a portfolio in which there are options for every type of rider. On this occasion, Tsutsumu Otani, President and CEO of HMSI, said, “India is one of the most important strategic markets in the world for Honda. This new portfolio of 10 products provides customers with a variety of mobility solutions. It strengthens our multi-pronged strategy of providing customers with options to suit their varying needs and infrastructure availability through advanced internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric mobility and flex-fuel technology.”
From Adventure to EV, what is special?
For information, let us tell you that in the new range, Honda ADV 160 has been introduced as a city adventure scooter, which will be the first scooter in India to support E85 flex-fuel. Whereas CB500 has been launched in the retro roadster, CB350 range with new colors and Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 in the lifestyle cruiser segment. For those who like off-roading, XR 300L and XR 300 Rally have been introduced, while to promote electric mobility, the company has also included QC3 electric scooter in the launch lineup. This scooter claims to offer an IDC range of up to 151 km on a single charge.

Emphasis on Honda E-Clutch and Make in India
The company will also provide Honda E-Clutch technology in select models, so that there will be no need to press the clutch again and again in traffic and riding will be easier. “Indian customers today want products that meet their mobility needs as well as suit their lifestyle,” said Mutsuo Usui, Director (Sales & Marketing), HMSI. At present the company has not disclosed the prices and launch date. All models will be launched in the Indian market in a phased manner. Auto experts believe that this new portfolio of Honda can further intensify competition in the premium two-wheeler segment.
