Green GSM partners with 75 Philippine operators to deploy 18,497 VinFast EVs AutoguideIndia

Green GSM has signed a series of memoranda of understanding (MOU) and deposit agreements with 75 transportation companies and cooperatives in the Philippines to support the planned deployment of 18,497 VinFast electric vehicles for passenger transportation services nationwide.

The agreements mark the next phase of Green GSM’s expansion strategy in the Philippines, leveraging a partnership-driven model that combines the company’s technology platform and operational standards with the local expertise and deployment capabilities of transportation operators.

Participating transportation companies and cooperatives operate in major provinces and cities including Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Cavite, Pampanga, Bacolod, Batangas, Baguio and Ozamiz – areas where demand for mobility is growing and clean urban transportation solutions are being adopted.

Under the partnership framework, the parties aim to deploy a fleet of 18,497 vehicles through a combination of direct investment and long-term leasing arrangements. The planned fleet will include VinFast VF5/Herio Green and Limo Green electric vehicle models specifically designed for ride-hailing and passenger transportation operations.

The latest agreements further strengthen Green GSM’s efforts to expand its standardized all-electric mobility platform into key Southeast Asian urban markets while accelerating the transition towards sustainable transportation in the Philippines.

The Philippines plays an important role in this regional expansion strategy. Green GSM is expanding through a partnership-based model that combines centralized operational standards with local execution capabilities. Following an initial deployment of 2,500 vehicles in collaboration with Zentro Group, the next phase is expected to significantly expand both the scale and geographic coverage of the fleet.

This model combines Green GSM’s standardized operating platform with locally managed fleet operations and driver networks. This architecture enables consistent service standards and scalable deployment while remaining adaptive to local market conditions. By taking advantage of existing transportation networks, the model also creates a more practical path toward large-scale electric mobility adoption.

Mr. Gio Colmenares, CEO of Asia Prime Force Corporation, said: “This partnership reflects the broader transformation underway in the transportation industry, where scale, efficiency and sustainability are increasingly interconnected. Green GSM’s platform provides a structured approach to deploying electric mobility, combining operational clarity with long-term growth potential. We see this as an opportunity not only in the Philippines, but as part of the broader transformation of urban mobility across Southeast Asia. Let’s see in form.”

Ms. Dave Baldoza, Managing Director of Green EV Transport Corp. and Green Fast Corporation, said: “For transportation cooperatives, the transition to electric mobility is not only about technology, but also about long-term sustainability for our members. Green GSM’s model enables us to modernize our fleet while maintaining operational sustainability and access to consistent demand. It creates a clear path for cooperatives to participate in the next phase of urban transportation growth.”

Ms. Rachel Ann Villanueva, President of Green Will Corporation, said: “Scale electric mobility requires coordinated investments in vehicles, infrastructure and operations. Partnership models like this demonstrate how different parts of the ecosystem can work together to enable large-scale deployment. We see strong potential for this approach to accelerate adoption not only in the Philippines, but in the region’s emerging urban markets.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM, said: “The electrification of transportation is no longer a future trend, but a transformation already underway in major urban centers around the world. Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic regions for this change. Scaling electric mobility requires more than technology. It requires operating models that can adapt to local conditions as well as maintain sustainability across markets. Through its platform and partnership approach, Green GSM aims to “To advance electric mobility in a practical and sustainable way while maintaining unified service standards.”

Following the signing, the partners are expected to complete vehicle orders and begin phased operations by 2026. The extension further strengthens the transition towards large-scale electrification of urban transportation networks in the Philippines, while enabling broader participation of transportation companies and cooperatives in the country’s growing mobility sector. With deployment planned in multiple provinces and cities, Green GSM continues to expand mobility models built on scalable operations, standardized service quality and long-term sustainability objectives.
