Flixbus and Vrtelo have signed a MOU to roll 500 electric intercity coaches buses across India, a major step towards permanent long -range journey. Announced in New Delhi on 28 April 2025, the partnership takes advantage of Wartelo’s expertise at Flixbus’s huge digital-first Intercity Network and Electric Mobility Solutions.
Currently, to connect over 200 Indian cities, Flixbus will lead the demand generation and identify major routes for electric deployment. The vertelo will support the perfect electric bus model with sequential financing and lease with options, charging infrastructure, and coordinating with OEMs.
This cooperation supports India’s push for greenery dynamics and strengthens the nationwide expansion strategy of Flixbus.
