Bijliride plans to deploy 2,500 EVs amid rising demand for gig workers.

App-based EV rental and mobility-tech startup, Bizliride, has announced ambitious expansion plans to deploy 2,500 electric vehicles in the next 90 days across its high-demand markets. The move comes in response to growing demand from gig workers, delivery partners and daily commuters seeking affordable and sustainable mobility solutions amid rising fuel prices and ongoing uncertainty in global oil markets.

The company aims to strengthen its footprint in key gig economy hubs, taking advantage of the growing shift towards electric mobility as users look to reduce operating costs and improve earnings. By expanding its EV fleet, BijliRide seeks to provide accessible, cost-effective transportation options while supporting the broader transition to cleaner and more sustainable urban mobility.

With Hyderabad remaining the key focus market, Bizliride is also actively evaluating high-demand urban markets including Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and select areas of Delhi NCR, where the rapid growth of quick-commerce, food delivery and gig economy services is driving demand for affordable EV mobility solutions. The company’s strategy focuses on operational readiness and demand concentration. The planned deployment of 2,500 vehicles aims to strengthen fleet density in existing markets while entering select new cities through franchise partnerships aligned with its long-term growth model.

The expansion is being built around Bizliride’s STAR expansion model, which focuses on creating a central operating hub supported by multiple pickup and drop points to improve accessibility, operational efficiency and rider convenience in urban markets.

Commenting on this, Shivam Sisodia, CEO and Co-Founder, Bizliride, said, “Our focus is not just on connecting vehicles, but on building an ecosystem that supports reliability, uptime and customer experience at scale.” And ₹15,000 per month. The growing demand for affordable and predictable mobility solutions is fueling our planned deployment of 2,500 vehicles over the next three months,” he further said.

To support the upcoming scale-up, Bijliride is also strengthening its on-ground operational capabilities in fleet management, customer support, technology support and business development functions. Additionally, the company is expanding its operational network through additional hubs, charging support infrastructure and service touchpoints to ensure that rider convenience and service reliability remain strong as vehicle volumes grow.

As part of this expansion, the company is currently in discussions with potential franchisees and operating partners in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi NCR and select tier-II cities, where the food delivery, logistics and quick-commerce ecosystem is witnessing rapid growth. The company is seeing strong interest from entrepreneurs and fleet operators who want to participate in India’s EV mobility transformation through an asset-light and technology-enabled operating model.

As India’s gig economy and hyperlocal delivery ecosystem continues to expand, BijliRide believes that electric mobility is becoming one of the most practical long-term options for urban transportation and increasing fuel dependency for last-mile delivery operations.
