Ather Energy Limited, a leading manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, has introduced the 2025 Ather 450 Series with significant updates focused on enhancing rider safety, convenience and overall performance. The new lineup featuring Ather 450X and Ather 450 Apex features state-of-the-art features like Multi-Mode Traction Control, MagicTwist™ and enhanced TrueRange™ capabilities.

Ravneet S., Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy. Focella stressed the company’s commitment to continuously upgrade the 450 series in terms of performance and safety. He pointed out that the introduction of multi-mode traction control – usually reserved for premium motorcycles – is a major enhancement. This advanced system offers three different modes: Rain, Road and Rally, ensuring stability and adaptability in different road conditions.

Rain Mode prioritizes safety by increasing grip on wet and slippery surfaces. Road mode offers a balanced riding experience that is ideal for everyday commuting. Rally mode, designed for off-road adventures, allows controlled wheel slip, making it easier for riders to navigate rough terrain with confidence.

The 2025 Ather 450 series also features multi-compound tires developed in partnership with MRF, aimed at optimizing both range and performance. Additionally, MagicTwist™, which was earlier an exclusive feature to the Ather 450 Apex and Rizta models, is now available in the 450X. This innovation allows riders to control deceleration using the throttle, reducing reliance on conventional braking. MagicTwist™ works at all charge levels, including 100%, contributing to improved energy efficiency and extended range.

The TrueRange™ of the scooter has been improved across various models. The Ather 450X with a 3.7 kWh battery now offers up to 130 km TrueRange™ (161 km IDC), while the Ather 450 Apex offers up to 130 km (157 km IDC). The 450X with a 2.9 kWh battery offers TrueRange™ up to 105 km (126 km IDC), and the 450S offers TrueRange™ up to 105 km (122 km IDC).

Powering the new lineup is the company’s latest software engine, EtherStack™ 6. This system includes features like Google Maps integration, Alexa compatibility, WhatsApp notifications and live location sharing. Riders can also use the “Ping My Scooter” feature to locate their vehicle using sound and visual cues.

Ather’s 2025 range is backed by the Eight70 warranty, which offers coverage for eight years or 80,000 km with 70% battery health assurance during the warranty period. Additional benefits include faster charging for the 450X 2.9 kWh model, which is now bundled with the Ather Duo charger, reducing charging time from 0-80% to three hours. The 450 Apex comes with Ather’s smart Halo helmet.

The 2025 Ather 450 series includes the 450S, with prices starting at ₹1,29,999, the 450X 2.9 kWh variant priced at ₹1,46,999, and the 450X 3.7 kWh variant priced at ₹1,56,999 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru). The 450 Apex is priced at ₹1,99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including Pro Pack). Bookings and test rides of the new models are now open across India.
