Greaves Electric Mobility’s electric two-wheeler brand Ampere has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the new Reo VYB electric scooter in India. Priced at ₹69,499 (ex-showroom), the latest offering is aimed at entry-level customers seeking affordable, practical and sustainable urban mobility solutions.
Positioned in the low-speed electric scooter segment, the Ampere Reo VYB offers a claimed range of up to 80 km on a single charge and a top speed of 25 km/h. As a low-speed electric vehicle, it does not require a driving license or vehicle registration, making it an attractive option for students, first-time travelers and urban commuters.
Commenting on the launch, Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, highlighted the growing demand for reliable and eco-friendly transportation solutions as India’s urban mobility landscape continues to evolve.
Powering the Reo VYB is a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, known for its enhanced thermal stability, improved safety and longer operational life compared to conventional battery chemistries. According to the company, the battery is designed to last up to 100,000 kilometres, providing long-term value and reliability for customers.
The electric scooter is equipped with a hub-mounted motor and comes with a number of practical features, including a front disc brake, a digital instrument display and 24 liters of under-seat storage. Ampere will offer the Reo VYB in four color options to cater to the diverse preferences of customers.
With the launch of Reo VYB, Ampere aims to strengthen its presence in India’s fast-growing electric two-wheeler market by making electric mobility more accessible to everyday commuters.
