Green SM has expanded its international operations with the launch of an all-electric taxi service in Bali through a strategic partnership with Taxi Komotra, supporting the island’s growing focus on sustainable tourism and environmentally responsible urban mobility.
To mark Denpasar’s 238th anniversary, the company is offering a limited-period promotional fare discount of 25 percent, with savings of up to IDR 238,000 per journey.
Under the partnership model, Green SM will provide the core technology platform, an all-electric vehicle fleet, operational standards and a structured driver development system. Taxi Komotra will contribute its established local expertise and operational network in Bali, enabling the integration of advanced electric mobility solutions with strong on-ground execution capabilities.
The collaboration aims to provide a scalable and governance-driven transportation model that aligns with Bali’s sustainability objectives while improving passenger convenience and service quality.
Operations in Bali will follow Green SM’s “5 Green Promises” service commitment framework, which has served as the company’s fundamental operating standard since its inception. The framework focuses on providing a better customer experience through professional drivers, safe and high-quality electric vehicles, transparent and fair pricing and measurable contributions towards environmental sustainability.
The service operates an all-electric fleet that produces no exhaust emissions or fuel combustion. All vehicles are maintained under strict technical and safety protocols to ensure consistent service performance while contributing to cleaner air and quieter urban environments.
A central pillar of the launch is the Green SM Driver Ecosystem. Drivers are positioned as professional green mobility ambassadors guided by five core values: respect, professionalism, dedication, discipline and competitive income with stable career paths. Structured training, transparent earnings mechanism and disciplined service administration aim to elevate driving into a respected profession while maintaining safety and reliability as fundamental standards. The launch comes amid increasing mobility demand due to tourism growth and daily transportation needs across the island. The Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2025 report notes the continued shift towards environmentally responsible travel, underscoring the relevance of electric mobility in long-term development planning. According to projections by Indonesia’s National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), green employment nationwide is expected to reach 4.8–5.3 million by 2029, reflecting the vast economic potential of sustainable industries.
