Maruti Suzuki India Limited has achieved a major safety milestone as India’s first global electric vehicle e Vitara has been awarded a 5-star India NCAP safety rating. This honor was given by Shri Nitin Gadkari.
The e Vitara was voluntarily submitted for India NCAP testing, further strengthening Maruti Suzuki’s growing lineup of 5-star-rated models, which now includes the all-new Dezire, Victory and Invicto.
Engineered on Suzuki’s all-new HEARTECT-e platform, built for electric vehicles, the e VITARA offers exceptional crash safety, high structural rigidity and advanced high-voltage protection. The EV has been tested in extremely harsh environments – from scorching desert heat to sub-zero snowy terrain – with its battery systems validated to work reliably from +60°C to -30°C.
Offered with both 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options, the e Vitara combines strong performance, long range, superior comfort and global safety standards – setting a new benchmark for Made-in-India electric mobility.
