With rapid towards electric mobility, aluminum dye casting has emerged as an important requirement for light, high-demonstration vehicle platforms. Electric vehicles require much more aluminum-based structural and thermal components than their internal combustion counterparts-the advanced dye casting capabilities for EV powertrain and body application central.

The upcoming feature will also play an important role in supporting UNO Minda’s backward integration strategy by supplying the necessary casting components to its upcoming 4W-EV Povertrain plant. Located in Maharashtra, Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad), the region has been selected to ensure logical efficiency and closeness for both the new EV Puratrain plant and other major OEM customers in the region.

The project includes a total planned capital investment of about ₹ 210 crore to be implemented in a phased manner in the next five years. Investment will be funded through internal allegations and balanced mixtures of loans. Commercial operations are expected to begin from Phase 1 of the plant from Q2 FY27.
