Two major initiatives were unveiled on World Environment Day to be environmentally friendly and promote sustainable public transport, in line with the attitude of Honorable Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi gave green signal to 200 electric goddess buses by PMI Electro in Delhi-a big step towards zero-vigorous urban mobility. Strengthening his commitment to environmental stability, the Prime Minister also applied a banyan in the form of a banyan in Lord Mahavira Vanasthali Park as part of the ‘Name of a paid mother’ campaign, underlining the importance of biodiversity, climate flexibility and ecological balance. Their dual actions – planting a tree and launching electric buses – a green wiking as a clear call to take action for India.
In honor of the Honorable Prime Minister’s ‘Ek paid mother’s name’, the PMI embraced his vision for a greenery future by distributing 10,000 eco-friendly seed cards-which includes basil and wildflower seeds-as part of ‘Green Roots’ initiative.
These seed cards are designed to be planted directly into the soil, expected to sprout within two weeks. Citizens were encouraged to share selfies while planting seeds and tag PMI’s linkedIn page to motivate widespread participation. This effort encourages citizens to plant and nourish the greenery in their homes and communities, which forwards the Prime Minister’s call for environmental leadership and the shared vision of a cleaner, Hariyali Bharata.

With today’s flag-off, PMI Electro Mobility now operates more than 2,500 electric buses in 31 cities across the country. These e-battles are estimated to cut more than 250,000 metric tons of CO annually, which is more than 3 million metric tons on their life cycle.
