Wave Mobility, an emerging original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is set to introduce EVA, a compact electric vehicle powered by solar energy, at the India Mobility Global Expo to be held in New Delhi from January 17 to 22, 2025.
After garnering significant attention during its debut at the Auto Expo 2023, the updated EVA aims to offer a practical and eco-friendly solution to urban commuting. Designed to tackle common urban challenges such as traffic congestion, limited parking and rising fuel costs, the Eva’s compact design is ideal for city driving.
The vehicle offers an impressive range of 250 kilometers on a single charge, with an additional 3,000 kilometers of range annually through its solar charging capability. Its high-voltage powertrain ensures fast charging, adding 50 kilometers of range in just five minutes. The Eva accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in five seconds and can reach a top speed of 70 km/h. Enhanced driver visibility with smart connectivity features like smartphone integration, vehicle diagnostics, remote monitoring and over-the-air updates further enhances the driving experience.
The operating costs of EVA are significantly lower than conventional petrol vehicles. While the average fuel cost of petrol cars is ₹5 per kilometre, the EVA costs around ₹0.5 per kilometre, due to its lightweight design and efficient engineering. This makes it an affordable option for urban families.
