Ola S1 Pro gifted by CEO Bhavish Aggarwal to S1 owner Karthik BR who did 200 kms on single charge

Ola S1 Pro has been in the news quite regularly, more so than other electric scooters on sale in India. Most of the time due to its fault. But on the positive side, we have an S1 Pro user named Karthik BR who posted an interesting image of his scooter’s dashboard on Twitter on 15th of May.

Ola Electric keeps getting press from various media houses because of various reasons. Recently, Bhavish Aggarwal announced that he will be gifting a new Ola S1 Pro electric scooter to an owner who completed the 200 km on his S1 on a single charge. Now, the CEO has delivered on his promise and has gifted a new Ola S1 Pro finished in Gerua colour which is a limited edition colour.

The picture was shared on Twitter by Bhavish Aggarwal himself. He said, “As promised, @karthikbr007 , here’s your free Gerua for breaking records with 200kms range in a single charge! The owner was able to complete 202 km on a single charge after upgrading to Move OS 2.0 which is still in beta and is rolled out only to a few users. The name of the owner is Karthik and he used the Eco mode to achieve the 200 km riding range. He used the scooter in the city as well as the highway. The Eco mode helps in achieving the maximum riding range possible. As of now, the Eco mode is present only on the Move OS 2.0. Ola Electric will be rolling out Move OS 2.0 to all the users when it is stable to use.

OLA S1 Pro Price, Range, Images, Colours, Specifications

OLA S1 Pro is an electric scooter available at a starting price of Rs. 1,27,670 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 10 colours. OLA S1 Pro generates 5500 W power from its motor. With both front and rear disc brakes, OLA S1 Pro comes up with combined braking system of both wheels.

The Ola S1 Pro is the premium variant of the S1 electric scooter range from Ola Electric. This variant of the S1 range packs higher specifications and features more colour options than the standard S1 electric scooter.

The electric motor on the S1 Pro is tuned to deliver 8.5kW of maximum power and 58Nm of peak torque. The company promises a top speed of 115kmph and claims a range of 181km per full charge as against 90kmph and 121km on the base model. The 3.97kWh battery pack can be fast charged for a range of 75km in 18 minutes. The full charging time is rated at six and a half hours.

The feature list, similar to the base model, includes a twin-pod headlight at the front, apron-mounted sleek LED indicators, a body-coloured front fender, curvy side panels, a sleek LED taillight, an external charging port at the back, and a split-style pillion grabrail. The scooter features a 36-litre under-seat storage space that can accommodate two open-face helmets. The colour palette for the Pro variant includes 10 options.

Standard features on both models include proximity lock/unlock, remote boot lock, call alert, message alert, infotainment, side-stand alert, anti-theft alert, geo-fencing, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, onboard navigation, limp home mode, reverse mode, get-home mode, take-me-home lights, find my scooter, HMI moods with sound, electronic steering lock, HMI brightness adjuster, welcome screen, OTA updates, manual SOS, and predictive maintenance. The Pro variant further benefits from hill-hold system, cruise control, voice assist, and three ride modes (Normal, Sport, and Hyper).

The hardware is similar on both variants. Thus, the suspension tasks are handled by a single front fork, a rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both wheels, and a combined braking system.
